Starting goalie Steve Fryer is a casualty of the Vancouver Warriors’ 0-3 start to the National Lacrosse League season.
According to the NLL transactions page, the Warriors released Fryer and moved fellow netminder Ethan Woods to the active roster from the injured reserve list on Saturday.
Vancouver is going young and inexperienced in goal now with Woods, 24, who was on the shelf recovering from off-season shoulder surgery, and Aden Walsh, 21. The Warriors had a bye this weekend and resume action on Saturday, when they visit the powerhouse San Diego Seals (3-0).
Dating back to last season, Vancouver has lost eight games in a row.
