The Vancouver Giants had five players named this week to NHL Central Scouting’s preliminary list of players to watch for the 2023 draft, which was the most of any WHL club.
Winger Samuel Honzek received ‘A’ status, while winger Tyler Halaburda came in with a ‘B’ and winger Ethan Semeniuk, centre Jaden Lipinski and defenceman Mazden Leslie all landed ‘C’ standings.
An ‘A’ suggests a potential first-round pick next June in Nashville, while a ‘B’ predicts a second or third rounder and a ‘C’ leans toward a fourth to six rounder.
