The defending champion and top-seeded Trinity Western Spartans face the tournament host UBC Thunderbirds in the U Sports women’s volleyball national championship on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at War Memorial Gymnasium.
UBC, who are the No. 7 seeds at this eight-team event, are the all-time leader in the national championships with 12. They last won in 2019 in Edmonton.
