Western Canada’s largest tennis tournament will not be held this year, due to problems finding a venue.
The Odlum Brown VanOpen, usually held at West Vancouver’s Hollyburn Country Club, is without a host. Extensive renovations to Hollyburn mean they can’t accommodate the tournament for the next two years and efforts to relocate it to the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex couldn’t be made in such a tight timeline, said a statement from organizer.
“The tournament is on hiatus for 2023,” said the statement.
