Team Canada remains in the hunt for top spot at the Canada Cup women’s softball tournament heading into championship Sunday at Softball City.
Coach Kaleigh Rafter’s crew takes on Team Italy in a 1 p.m. game at the Surrey complex, and the winner faces U.S. collegiate all-star team TC Colorado at 3:30 p.m. for a spot in the 6 p.m. championship matchup with Team Japan.
Canada’s prepping for the World Cup Group Stage tournament, which goes July 22-26 in Castions di Strada and Buttrio, Italy. Italy and Japan are both at that tournament. The World Cup finals are July 2024 in Italy.
