SFU Red Leafs football is in harm’s way.
On its website Wednesday, the school posted a letter from coach Mike Rigell that stated that the Lone Star Conference will not be renewing the affiliate membership agreement with SFU and that the upcoming 2023 season will be the final year for the Red Leafs in that loop.
The Lone Star Conference is based in Richardson, Texas and most of the programs who play under its banner are based in that region.
