The Vancouver Giants are a rework in progress.
Coach Michael Dyck says that the blockbuster trade Sunday that saw first line forward and team captain Zack Ostapchuk dealt to the Winnipeg Ice means the team has to find its identity again and players need to settle into their new roles and goals.
The Giants looked “messy,” and “discombobulated,” according to Dyck in a 4-2 loss to the Spokane Chiefs on Friday at the Langley Events Centre before an announced crowd of 3,508. It was Vancouver’s second game since the Ostapchuk move and Tuesday’s WHL trade deadline. The Giants fell 6-3 on the road to the Kamloops
