Jevoni Robinson is used to trying new things. He’d never played basketball before he moved to North Carolina from his native Jamaica as a teenager, but ended up playing both NCAA and professional hoops in Italy.
He’d played football in high school, but put it on hold for his basketball career — one that took him to Primelab Angri Pallacanestro basketball team of Italy’s Serie C in 2016 — but his size and athleticism was enough for the Houston Texans to add him to their practice squad five years later.
Now, he’s bringing his talents north of the border, being picked by the B.C. Lions seventh overall
