Jonathan Lekkerimaki is out of the Djurgardens lineup for the rest of the season with a foot injury, the team announced on Tuesday.
The injury happened at practice on Monday and will take up to eight weeks to heal.
Lekkerimaki, 18, had picked up his game of late after struggling through illness, scoring slumps and a concussion throughout the campaign.
The 5-foot-11, 172-pound right-shot winger had been playing on Djurgardens’ first line and scored the shootout winner in a 3-2 win over Mora IK last Wednesday.
