Oliver Ekman-Larsson’s season appears to be over.
The veteran Vancouver Canucks defenceman sprained his ankle Feb. 15 in a game against the New York Rangers. Head coach Rick Tocchet initially said the injury would keep Ekman-Larsson out for weeks.
Even with his injury, Ekman-Larsson has been regular fixture around the Canucks’ dressing room, greeting reporters from his crutches, presenting an air of continuing optimism despite his physical plight.
