Thatcher Demko is getting closer to a return for the Vancouver Canucks.
The injured goaltender took part in practice Tuesday at Madison Square Gardens in New York City, a day before the Canucks’ tilt against the New York Rangers.
The 27-year-old netminder worked on his own with Canucks director of goaltending Ian Clark before the Canucks’ full practice, then stayed on for about 15 minutes after his teammates came on.
He didn’t take questions after practice.
