B.C. Lions head coach Rick Campbell said after practice Tuesday that he expects Vernon Adams Jr. to be back as his team’s starting quarterback when they play host to the Calgary Stampeders Saturday at B.C. Place.
Adams (knee) has missed the past two games after getting hurt in B.C.’s 19-9 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders on July 22. Dane Evans (ribs) started in his place, but he was injured in last week’s 50-14 drubbing at the hands of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Adams did dress for the past two game as the No. 3 quarterback but didn’t see any action.
