Vista Engineering Technologies Acquired By Kurion

Richland, Washington-based Vista Engineering Technologies, an engineering, design and technology firm focused on nuclear and hazardous waste management, has been acquired by Kurion, a venture-backed, California company in the same industry. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Kurion–which has helped in the cleanup at the Fukushima nuclear plant–is based in Irvine, California. Kurion said the move triples its staff. Both Vista Engineering Technologies and Kurion have also been part of the cleanup effort at the Hanford nuclear weapons site along the Columbia river. Kurion’s venture capital backers are Lux Capital, Firelake Capital Management and Acadia Woods Partners.
