The city of Lakewood is reporting that an individual stole a car and drove into a repaving project on North Gate Road.
The suspect drove through the barricades around the project and onto freshly poured cement, getting themselves stuck in the pavement of the new roundabout.
The suspect then attempted to flee the scene, in their hands carrying a young child and a bottle of whiskey.
A city inspector followed the suspect and called 911, and once police showed up, they were arrested.
Crews are working to repave the project.
