The connection will provide an acre of green space, including 80 new trees, and is part of the Georgetown to South Park Connection project, the goal of which is to create a walkable, bike-able connection between the two neighborhoods.
The space is on a 46,000-square foot plot of land, known as the Georgetown Flume site. Seattle City Light received approval this week from the Seattle City Council Transportation and Utilities Committee to transfer the land to
