Deputy Dominque “Dom” Calata was with Sgt. Rich Scaniffe and other SWAT team officers while trying to serve a warrant to Jeremy Dayton when gunfire was exchanged. Dayton, 40, died at the scene. Calata died Wednesday afternoon from his injuries.
