SPOKANE, Wash. — The Christmas holiday break is always a welcome time for teams in the Western Hockey League to catch up with family and recharge the batteries for a hectic second half of the WHL season. For the Chiefs, the break came at a perfect time as the club had dropped 3 straight on their East Division road trip. Spokane went just 1-4-0-1 in their 6-game journey as they fell into last place in the Western Conference.
