The Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade returned to downtown Seattle.
The iconic event is one of many that was paused during the pandemic.
Things kicked off on Friday morning with a preview of what’s in store.
Parade floats, marching bands, dragon dancers, prancing horses and the Alaska Airlines drill team will be on the streets of downtown Seattle this weekend for the first time since 2019.
“We’re definitely excited to be back, you know. It’s been a long two years,” said Seafair director of marketing and communications, Sydace Jackson.
The parade will start at Seattle Center, travel down Fourth Avenue and end at Spring Street.
