BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — Officials say a fire that destroyed a restaurant here early Monday had already engulfed the building when firefighters arrived.
Crews were dispatched to the 122 Bar & Restaurant about 4:44 a.m. and were forced to fight the fire from the outside due to the intense flames.
No one was inside when the fire broke out, and it took firefighters about 30 minutes to get the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
