Wellspent Market, the curated grocery store founded by James Beard-nominated food writer Jim Dixon, plans to move to Southeast Portland this June. The market will take up residence in a century-old building on Southeast Division Street and Southeast 34th Avenue which originally opened as a general store called Jos. T Harris Grocery. Renovations are currently underway following the vacancy of longtime tenant Anders Printing Company, revealing the building’s original fir floors.
“We’re bringing the space back to its original glory,” Wellspent Market co-owner Noah Cable told the Oregonian.
