This week, Portland State University announced that a food cart pod located on its campus will remain open thanks to assistance from the city of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services. The cart pod was previously slated to close this July due to Oregon’s new wastewater regulations, which went into effect in January 2023.
The university was initially unable to find a cost-effective solution, prompting PSU students to start a petition when the closure was announced in March.
