Salem’s Ambitious Epilogue Kitchen Will Relocate to a Growing ‘Sustainable Community’

Epilogue Kitchen and Cocktails, the Salem, Oregon restaurant from two-time James Beard Best Chef Northwest semifinalist Jonathan Jones, will soon depart downtown for greener pastures. At the end of the year, Jones, along with co-owner and wife Maura Ryan, will relocate the restaurant to an eco-focused sustainable community development in Salem called the Pringle Creek Community.

Pringle Creek, which has billed itself as “Oregon’s greenest community,” is a residential development located in South Salem on land that was, until 2000, the Fairview Training Center, a state-run institution for people with disabilities that had a deeply problematic history.
