The study session will be fairly uneventful compared to past board meetings, when the district and teachers were embroiled in a protracted labor dispute. The board ratified the new teachers contract last week after nearly ten months of negotiations.

District leaders tonight will update the board on projects such as the completion of tracks and fields at the high schools by the fall of 2014.

This summer, the district will finish work on the fields of Wilson, Marshall, Jefferson and Madison high schools, and the track at Wilson High. Wilson High School field.

Do you have questions about some of the issues discussed during tonight’s meeting? Let me know in the comments, where I’ll also be posting a few updates throughout the night.
