Mt. Tabor Brewing Closes After 13 Years

Mt. Tabor Brewing has ceased operations after 13 years, reports The Oregonian. The brewery announced the closure with an Instagram post on August 7, which thanked “loyal patrons, passionate staff, and supportive neighbors” for being “part of this adventure.” Before the closure, Mt. Tabor operated a tasting room in Portland and a pub that was well-known for its pizza in Vancouver, Washington. Eater reached out to Mt. Tabor Brewing for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Owner Eric Surface told The Oregonian that issues with the Vancouver lease and rising costs of doing business contributed to the closure. This year has been difficult for breweries and taprooms
