SoHi Brands, a Portland company that acquired several local brands in recent years and was formerly known as Sortis Holdings, has sold Water Avenue Coffee to Harder Day Coffee Company, the coffee roasting business founded by Steeplejack owners Brody Day and Dustin Harder.
The sale was finalized on August 16; Water Avenue employees were notified of the acquisition later that same day. The coffee company will continue to operate under the Water Avenue Coffee Company name. “We are excited to embark on a new chapter for Water Avenue,” Day told Willamette Week.
