Fifty Licks’ East Burnside Shop Was Destroyed in a Fire. Here’s What’s Next for the Ice Cream Brand.

The East Burnside location of beloved Portland ice cream shop Fifty Licks was severely damaged in a fire Friday. Just before 8 a.m. on May 10, Portland Fire and Rescue crews arrived on the scene and began containing the fire, but Fifty Licks owner Chad Draizin says the shop is a total loss. The fire department has not yet been able to determine the cause of the fire.

The fire originated in the basement of the over-100-year-old building, also affecting Wyld Stallyns Vintage, Cream Salon, and the upstairs apartments. Folks inside the building at the time were all able to evacuate safely, and no injuries were reported. No
