Voluntary recall issued for Wild Coast Raw cat food due to bird flu risk

The Olympia-based Wild Coast Raw has sickened multiple cats across the Pacific Northwest, causing some to be euthanized.

OREGON, USA — Wild Coast LLC is recalling some lots of its raw cat food due to it being potentially contaminated with H5N1, also known as bird flu. The same brand has sickened multiple cats across the Pacific Northwest, causing some to be euthanized. 

The Olympia-based company, Wild Coast Raw, is recalling its frozen Boneless Free Range Chicken Formula, in 16 oz. and 24 oz. lots. The affected lots are identified by a sticker on the lid with a number of #22660, #22653, #22641, #22639, #22672 and #22664 with
