Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden visited the picket line at Providence Portland Medical Center on Sunday to show support for healthcare workers.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Providence healthcare workers entered their 10th day on strike Monday, joined by U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, who questioned the hospital system’s bargaining tactics.
Wyden said he came out because “providers are on the front lines for the community, so I will be on the picket line with them until they get a fair shake.”
“It looks like they just keep recycling the terms that they’ve already given, so I have some real questions about whether they’re bargaining in good faith,”
