Darcelle XV Showplace, named after the legendary Portland drag queen, will stay open after its owners said earlier this year it was in danger of shutting down.
PORTLAND, Ore. — After being in danger of shutting down, Darcelle XV, Portland’s iconic drag venue, will remain open under new ownership, the showplace announced Monday.
“We are beyond thrilled to share that under new ownership, our doors will remain open!!!,” Darcelle XV Showplace said in a social media post on Monday. “In 2025, Darcelle XV & Co will celebrate 58 years in business!!”
