The MAX Red Line service to Portland International Airport will reopen Sunday after shutting down for four months.
PORTLAND, Ore. — MAX Red Line service to Portland International Airport will resume Sunday after being shut down for four months, TriMet announced.
The closures were part of a $215 million project, “A Better Red.” The funds, including $100 million from a federal grant, were used to expand Red Line service by adding more trains and a second track, as well as building new crossings over Interstates 84 and 205. The project also included fixing a pair of bottlenecks on the city’s east side.
