In March, Portland General Electric requested a 7.4% increase but increased that request last month. Pacific Power has also requested a rate hike, of 11.9%.
PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland General Electric (PGE) is once again requesting another rate increase — 10.9% — for all customers in 2025. PGE had initially asked the state’s utility commission for a 7.4% increase in March of this year but revised the number in July.
PGE filed its most recent request on July 15. If approved, it would be the third year in a row PGE has increased its rates.
