Longstanding Southeast Portland bar to close

After narrowly escaping a closure a year ago, Crush Bar announced that it will be shutting down for good at the end of the year.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A longstanding queer bar in Southeast Portland’s Buckman’s neighborhood announced it will be shutting its doors for good at the end of the year. Crush Bar said its last day will be New Year’s Eve, according to a social media post.

“We realize this news sounds familiar as we narrowly avoided closure last year,” Crush Bar said in a Instagram post on Monday. “But sadly this time it is reality.”
