SALEM, Ore. — Oregon lawmakers are aiming to emerge from the current legislative session with a major new transportation package in tow, one that will hopefully address the Oregon Department of Transportation’s long-term structural funding challenges brought about by the slow-but-steady decline of gas tax revenue.
