Hotel workers in 8 tourist cities walk off the job as strike over pay begins over Labor Day weekend

The strikes, which already include more than 10,000 workers, could expand to other cities in the coming days.

WASHINGTON — With up to 17 rooms to clean each shift, Fatima Amahmoud’s job at the Moxy hotel in downtown Boston sometimes feels impossible.
