PORTLAND, Ore. — Construction of the new $125 million Hillsboro Hops ballpark hit a major milestone on Friday, with it “topping out,” where the last piece of steel was placed on the highest point of the structure.
It’s not just a milestone that’s been celebrated for a thousand years or more in construction — but in this case, the timing of it also nears the halfway mark to when the stadium is set to open.
