Head of Oregon's liquor control board berates the press, defends handling of 'Bourbongate' internal investigation

Chairman Paul Rosenbaum stressed that the results of an internal investigation he learned about Sept. 8 were “confidential” and should not have been made public.

MILWAUKIE, Ore. — At a regular meeting of the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission’s board of commissioners on Wednesday, Chairman Paul Rosenblum opened with a blistering critique of the press and a defense of the board’s actions after news broke last week that high-ranking OLCC members used their positions to net rare bottles of expensive bourbon.
