Oregon Health & Science University stands to lose $80 million in funding that supports research and clinical trials due to the cuts in federal grant money.
PORTLAND, Ore. — A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration’s plans to cut funding for medical and public health research at universities and institutes nationwide. This comes hours after Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield sued the administration in a multi-state effort Monday morning.
The lawsuit filed Monday by 22 states, including Washington, challenges the Trump administration, the Department of Health and Human Services and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) over a Feb. 7 announcement
