PORTLAND, Oregon — Since opening its doors 80 years ago, RingSide Steakhouse has earned a reputation for being one of Portland’s dining institutions. For the last 30 of those years, bartender Jimmy O’Boyle has earned a reputation for being an institution — within that institution.
But after three decades, March 1 will mark O’Boyle’s last day behind the bar before he retires.
