After 43 days on picket lines, ONA says they’ll vote on second tentative agreement with Providence

Providence and ONA returned to the bargaining table this week, after striking nurses from all eight hospitals rejected the last offer.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Oregon Nurses Association (ONA) said Friday that they have reached a tentative deal for nurses at eight Providence hospitals, with plans to vote on whether to ratify it this weekend. The nurses have been on the picket lines for over a month. 

Providence and ONA returned to the bargaining table this week, after striking nurses from all eight hospitals rejected Providence’s last offer nearly two weeks ago. Those hospitals include Providence Portland, Providence St. Vincent, Providence Newberg, Providence Seaside, Providence Medford,
