80 fired probationary employees at Bonneville Power Administration asked to return, source says

Over 100 probationary employees were fired at the Bonneville Power Administration because of Trump’s effort to shrink the size of the federal government.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Around 80 probationary employees recently fired from the Portland-based Bonneville Power Administration have been asked to come back to work, according to a source with direct knowledge.

The firings came because of President Donald Trump’s effort to shrink the size of the federal government. In mid-February, sources said more than 100 new workers were fired.
