PORTLAND, Oregon — Nearly 400 trees are slated to come down in Forest Park as part of Portland General Electric’s (PGE) plan to expand transmission lines near Highway 30. The city approved PGE’s permit on Friday, outraging park advocates who were among many people who testified against the proposal earlier this year.
