PORTLAND, Ore. — TriMet is officially rolling out its first new MAX light rail trains in a decade, with the first of the cutting-edge “Type 6” trains now entering service after a lengthy shakedown testing period. The agency says the new trains are loaded with upgrades aimed at enhancing the rider experience while boosting operational efficiency and sustainability.
