People are advised to stay away from jetties, low lying beaches and surf zones in the affected area.

Residents and visitors along the southern Oregon coast are being warned to stay out of the surf zone, including beaches and low-lying shorelines from Thursday morning October 31st into Friday evening, November 1st, 2024. A high surf advisory was issued for the south central Oregon coast through the Curry County coast late Wednesday night. Large breaking waves are expected to be between 23 feet and 26 feet, and will create hazardous conditions.
