PORTLAND, Ore. — A handful of new Oregon laws are set to take effect July 1, and there are a couple that stand out for their potential to quickly have far reaching impacts for Oregonians: a new data privacy policy and an update to the state’s Family Medical Leave Act to curtail some areas where it overlaps with the newer Paid Leave Oregon program.
