Jerry’s Tavern, the long-awaited bar from pizzaiolo Jerry Benedetto, opened last week in Northwest Portland. Benedetto amassed a cult following and months-long waitlist during the height of the pandemic for his Chicago-style thin crust pizza, but will not be adding the dish to his menu until his pizza oven is fixed.
Benedetto hopes to introduce his new pizza menu “in the near future,” and has named it Little Frank’s pizza after his daughter, Frankie. He has teased that the style of pizza will be different to what he previously served, and will instead resemble the pizza he grew up eating in northwest Illinois.
