The B.C. Lions announced Monday that receiver Dominique Rhymes has signed a one-year extension that keeps him with the club through the 2024 season.
Rhymes had been eligible to become a free agent after this coming season and TSN’s Farhan Lalji was reporting on Sunday that the 29-year-old Miami native had asked for a trade.
According to Lalji: “He was due to make 110k next season but the new market for top receivers has him wanting more. BC did offer him a raise but it wasn’t acceptable. His agent has permission to look at trade options with other teams.”
