The B.C. Lions are trying to open up their games to more of the province.
The CFL club announced its 2023 schedule on Tuesday and six of the nine home games will kick off at 4 p.m. rather than the typical 7 or 7:30 p.m.
That begins with their home opener against the Edmonton Elks on June 17. The Lions kick off the campaign the week before, visiting the Calgary Stampeders on June 8.
“As an organization, we are thrilled with how our 2023 schedule has come together,” COO and incoming president Duane Vienneau said in a news release.
