Days after former Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara claimed his Boston Bruins witnessed the Vancouver Canucks practising lifting the Stanley Cup while the 2011 final was still going on, former Canuck Kevin Bieksa is taking issue with the claim.
Speaking during Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada broadcast, Bieksa, who now works as a commentator for Sportsnet, said Chara’s claims were among the dumbest he’s heard.
Chara said on a podcast this week that ahead of Game 3 of the series in Boston, Chara and his teammates witnessed the Canucks practising how they would pass the cup around were they to win the final, at some point
